Hello to all future, fellow parents! The Met is a wonderful family to join. There are many hard working, loving, involved families at the Met and we very much want you to join us. You will find support, acceptance and sharing at our school. One of our main objectives is to grow our communuity involvement to an even greater extent.  You will find that the students and advisors will welcome you. Participate in the many family activities: movie nights, potlucks, etc. and you will make new and lasting friends. Take part in the School Advisory Board meetings that take place every month except July. Say what you think and you will be heard and respected. Listen and you'll be excited to hear what the school is up to!

   Frequently asked questions:

             Q.  Will my student have the chance to participate in a sports program?

A.  All students have the chance to participate in the Met Sacramento's intramural sports program as well as being part of their home school's sports team. Example-If you live by Burbank High School chances are that is your home school.

New to our Metsters is the chance to take part in all West Campus High School's sports offerings.

Q.  Is there a dress code?

A. Metsters are allowed to wear just about anything. Of course, as the parent you have the most influence. No clothing that is too revealing and/or embraces drug, alcohol and/or gand culture. During internships students are expected to dress the part. See our Community Handbook for future details.

Q. Is the Met WASC accredited?

A. Yes.

Q. Do I have to buy my child a computer?

A. Many students have their own lap tops which they bring to school. We will eventually have 10-12 lap tops per advisory and our campus will be WIFI-ed. If you can afford a computer that's great-if not we have them here.

Q. Do all students have to be in the Panther Pipeline program?

A. We strongly encourage it but no. Most Metsters are however.

Q. My child wants to change their advisor. What do I do?

A. The Met discourages advisor switching but it does, infrequently, happen for a myriad of reasons. See Allen, our principal, with some concrete and supportable reasons that this would be a good idea.
