Why did you get into teaching?
As a child I have always had a penchant toward learning and science. When I got to high school, I had the opportunity to help teach younger students at my church's math camp and really enjoyed that experience. I went on to study Biotechnology at UC Davis, and then worked in the science field for half year. I decided that I wanted a greater challenge. This was a beginning of my teaching career; I have been at the Met since 2008.
