LTI (Learning through Internship) Coordinator at Met Sacramento
Before moving to Sacramento, Andrew was an advisor for four years at the Met Center in Providence. When his partner’s career brought them to the left coast, he decided that he wanted to stay a part of the Big Picture Learning Network and sought out a position at Met Sac. He was thrilled to be at Met Sac to see its first class graduate, and he says that every day at Met Sac is “new and different and crammed full of exciting moments.”
When asked what benefits students and staff receive from Big Picture Learning’s educational design, Andrew replied that “the authentic, real-world, hands-on approach has numerous benefits from engagement to inspiration to networking and professional skill development.”
Andrew describes Met Sacramento as a place that requires constant creativity and an open mind. He says that the Big Picture Learning design allows students and staff the freedom to continually assess their work – and relatedly, the joy of being able to constantly improve.
