Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

The mission of the MET Sacramento Charter High School Advisory Board is to deliver exceptional leadership and governance of the MET Sacramento High School, by understanding and controlling key elements of the schools fiscal and program operations and by providing direction and advice to the school principal.

Vision Statement

We envision the MET Sacramento Charter High School as a premier school that retains its distinctive character, where every student is an honored student, and where parents, school staff and the community learn together in a safe and clean environment. Our mission is to educate all students, including those who may have not succeeded in more traditional educational settings. We graduate students who are self-directed, independent learners who have the critical thinking sills and core knowledge that will allow them to be successful in college as well as in life. Our graduates are unique and creative individuals who will be able to rise above adversity in the adult world.

Rubicon Brewing Supports the Met

Some of us try very hard NOT to remember high school. At the Met Sacramento High School, students pursue their passions while getting an education. No bells ever sound at The Met. The over 300 students at this small high school on the south side of downtown apparently just know when to go to class.
Which is cool, and important to note, because it speaks to how life at The Met—part of a nationwide Big Picture Schools family that offers unique academic choices such as local-business internships and mentor programs—is quite unlike the typical high-school experience.
What could be better than spending lunch, dinner or happy hour with friends, and benefit The Met High School’s programs?
