A native of New York, David has been an educator in California for 10 years. He had taught at various public and private schools before starting work at The Met in 2004. David has also taught for over 10 years for the National Outdoor Leadership School, a college leadership training program.

David enjoys sea kayaking, fly fishing, running, hiking, and - of course - loves spending time, son Emmett and daughter Seraphina. He can also be found dj’ing and coming to work on his trusty motorcycle.

David has chosen to work at The Met because, above all else, teaching to him means being a positive role model and supportive mentor to young people. He aspires to build student confidence in themselves, encourage them to take intellectual risks, and lead healthy, happy lives.
